Metropolis leaders say a two-year $542,000 grant from Maryland’s Workplace of Overdose Response is earmarked to assist expanded efforts to handle opioid overdose and habit via enhanced response applications and group outreach initiatives.
Officers say the Salisbury Fireplace Division plans to make use of the funds to broaden its buprenorphine program, an important instrument in treating opioid habit.
