Its lengthy weekend once more!!! 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤,

What do I really feel: 𝐹𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑜𝑚 𝑜𝑟 𝐹𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑔𝑢𝑒?

For many professionals, meaning o̲n̲e̲ o̲f̲ t̲w̲o̲ t̲h̲i̲n̲g̲s̲ —
𝐸𝑖𝑡𝘩𝑒𝑟 𝑎 𝑠𝑖𝑔𝘩 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑓 (Lastly, the weekend!)
or, 𝑎 𝑑𝑒𝑒𝑝 𝑏𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝘩 (A lot left undone…).

I usually ask individuals throughout my seminars — What’s your dominant emotion on a Friday night?
Pleasure?
Exhaustion?
Guilt?
A mixture of all three??

The reality is, many people aren’t simply working Monday to Friday — we’re carrying work in our minds 24/7. Emails, deadlines, to-do lists… they comply with us into the weekend, making relaxation really feel like a luxurious as a substitute of a necessity.
However what I’ve discovered by years of working with high-achieving professionals is:
𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐭, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞.

So earlier than you step into the weekend, ask your self —
✔️ Have I acknowledged my wins this week?
✔️ Have I given myself permission to relaxation, not simply escape?
✔️ Am I working in the direction of success, or operating on autopilot?

𝑌𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑑 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑠 𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝘩𝑒.
𝑌𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑏𝑜𝑑𝑦 𝑛𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑠 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑢𝑛𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑑.
𝑆𝑢𝑐𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑖𝑠𝑛’𝑡 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝘩𝑜𝑤 𝑚𝑢𝑐𝘩 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑑𝑜 — 𝑖𝑡’𝑠 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝘩𝑜𝑤 𝑤𝑒𝑙𝑙 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑑𝑜 𝑖𝑡.

So don’t simply sit up for the weekend. However, use it.

𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲… 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐥… 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬.
