HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) – The ‘HAZARD’ film is now being proven in theatres all through Appalachia.
Director and author of the movie, Eddie Mensore, stated the film tells a narrative of life battling drug dependancy.
“So, I got here from the addicts perspective. He’s (the primary character) just like the magnet and it’s about his household and his neighborhood and I’m actually making an attempt to point out compassion I need us to have extra compassion for individuals who is battling dependancy,” stated Eddie Mensore.
The film ends with people speaking about their battle with drug dependancy.
Mandi Sheffel, who owns a bookstore referred to as “The Learn Noticed Newt” in Hazard, spoke with WYMT about her battle with dependancy.
Sheffel has been in lively restoration for almost 20 years.
“It impacts the best way I transfer via the world and it offers me a degree of empathy that I’m unsure I had in any other case and it shapes every thing I do,” stated Sheffel.
The bookstore proprietor stated the film is properly executed, however doesn’t inform the total story of Japanese Kentucky.
